Winter is refusing to end this year. We had 3 inches of fresh snow yesterday and are still waiting for ice out on the lake. We will open as soon as weather permits.

Honestly, I don't get the reason why a lot of people do not like winter season. There are so many reasons to love winter season, and one of this is because people don't get haggard! As someone who hates perspiring that much, winter season is a saving grace, that's why I always look forward to this. I am aware that there are negative effects associated with this season but those are bearable. Well, I think I just have to accept the fact that some people are not so used to it. 6/5/2018 11:39:51 pm
Thanks for the tips. I agree with you about the southern winter fishing tips. Those guys down south don't know what we're up against up here. I'm not much of a jig fisherman but i'll try slow dragging one and see what happens. Most bass in my pond are caught accidentally by trout guys throwing phoebes. I'll try a small spoon as well.
