After what seemed like an endless winter spring is finally here. Ice left late so fishing has really just started. Last weekend was the first time any number of people were fishing to get a feel for whats biting. The walleye were the main target and are biting, the largest was a 5 1/2 pound walleye. Big perch, ranging 12 to 14 inches. No big pike yet and bass wont open for a few weeks. Looks like its a good start to a great year of fishing. As soon as I get a pic of the 5 1/2 pounder I'll post it. Time to get outside!
